RESURRECTiON |

The question of existence of life
after this life bothered Sadducees, way back and others even up to today. And
Jesus set the truth straight. Loud and clear. That indeed there is
everlasting life. It is was, and still is the fundamental article of the good
news gospel. Read below the bible texts regarding this subject in this small
website. |

1 Corinthians 15:20-28 But now Christ has been raised from the
dead, the first fruits of those who have fallen asleep. 15:21 For since death
came through a man, the resurrection of the dead
also came through a man. 15:22 For just as in Adam all die, so also in Christ
all will be made alive. 15:23 But each in his own order: Christ, the first fruits;
then when Christ comes, those who belong to him. 15:24 Then comes the end,
when he hands over the kingdom to God the Father, when he has brought to an
end all rule and all authority and power. 15:25 For he must reign until he
has put all his enemies under his feet. 15:26 The last enemy to be eliminated
is death. 15:27 For he has put everything in subjection under his feet. But
when it says “everything” has been put in subjection, it is clear
that this does not include the one who put everything in subjection to him.
15:28 And when all things are subjected to him, then the Son himself will be
subjected to the one who subjected everything to him, so that God may be all
in all. Matthew 22:23-46 Jesus Answers the Sadducees
on the question of RESURRECTION 23 On that day some Sadducees (who
say there is no resurrection) came to Jesus and questioned
Him, 24 saying, “Teacher, Moses said, ‘If a man dies having
no children, his brother as next of kin shall marry his wife, and raise up
children for his brother.’ 25 Now there were seven brothers
among us; and the first married and died, and having no children, he left his
wife to his brother. 26 It was the same
also with the second brother, and the third, down to the
seventh. 27 Last of all, the woman died. 28 In the
resurrection, therefore, whose wife of the seven will she be? For they all
had her in marriage.” 29 But Jesus answered and said to
them, “You are mistaken, since you do not understand the
Scriptures nor the power of God. 30 For in
the resurrection they neither marry nor are given in marriage, but are
like angels in heaven. 31 But regarding the resurrection of the
dead, have you not read what was spoken to you by
God: 32 ‘I am the God of Abraham, the God of
Isaac, and the God of Jacob’? He is not the God of the dead, but
of the living.” 33 When the crowds heard this, they
were astonished at His teaching. 34 But when the Pharisees heard
that Jesus had silenced the Sadducees, they gathered
together. 35 And one of them, a lawyer, asked Him a question,
testing Him: 36 “Teacher,which
is the great commandment in the Law?” 37 And He said to
him, “‘You shall love the Lord your God with all your
heart, and with all your soul, and with all your
mind.’ 38 This is the great and foremost
commandment. 39 The second is like it, ‘You shall love your
neighbor as yourself.’ 40 Upon these two commandments hang
the whole Law and the Prophets.” 41 Now while the Pharisees were gathered together,
Jesus asked them a question: 42 “What do you think about the
Christ? Whose son is He?” They said to Him, “The son of
David.” 43 He said to them, “Then how does David
in the Spirit call Him ‘Lord,’ saying, 44 ‘The Lord said to my Lord, 45 Therefore, if David calls Him
‘Lord,’ how is He his son?” 46 No one was able to
offer Him a word in answer, nor did anyone dare from that day on to
ask Him any more questions. John
6:40 40 For my Father’s will is that everyone who looks to the
Son and believes in him shall have eternal life, and I will raise
them up at the last day.” 1 Corinthians 15:19

we have hope in Christ, we are of all people most to be pitied.

The
parable of the last judgment Matthew 25:31-46 The Sheep and the Goats 31 “When the Son of
Man comes in his glory, and all the angels with him, he will sit on his
glorious throne. 32 All the nations will be gathered before him, and he will
separate the people one from another as a shepherd separates the sheep
from the goats. 33 He will put the sheep on his right and the goats on his left.34 “Then
the King will say to those on his right, ‘Come, you who are blessed by
my Father; take your inheritance, the kingdom prepared for you since the
creation of the world. 35 For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty
and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you invited me in, 36 I needed clothes and you clothed me, I
was sick and you looked after me, I was in prison and you came to visit
me.’37 “Then the righteous will answer him,
‘Lord, when did we see you hungry and feed you, or thirsty and give you
something to drink? 38 When did we see you a stranger and invite you in, or needing clothes and clothe you? 39 When did we see you sick or in prison and go to
visit you?’40 “The King will reply, ‘Truly
I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and
sisters of mine, you did for me.’41 “Then
he will say to those on his left, ‘Depart from me, you who are
cursed, into the eternal fire prepared for the devil and his
angels. 42 For I was hungry and
you gave me nothing to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me nothing to drink, 43 I was a stranger and you did not invite me in,
I needed clothes and you did not clothe me, I was sick and in prison and you
did not look after me.’ 44 “They also will
answer, ‘Lord, when did we see you hungry or thirsty or a stranger or
needing clothes or sick or in prison, and did not help you?’45 “He
will reply, ‘Truly I tell you, whatever you did not do for one of the
least of these, you did not do for me.’46 “Then
they will go away to eternal punishment, but the righteous to eternal
life.” Luke
24:1-5 Jesus Has Risen 1- On the first day of
the week, very early in the morning, the women took the spices they had
prepared and went to the tomb. 2 They found the stone rolled away from the
tomb, 3 but when they entered, they did not find the body of the Lord Jesus.
4 While they were wondering about this, suddenly two men in clothes that
gleamed like lightning stood beside them. 5 In their fright the women bowed
down with their faces to the ground, but the men said to them, “Why do
you look for the living among the dead? Acts 9:36-42 Peter
prayed and Dorcas was Raised from
the dead 36 In Joppa there was a disciple named
Tabitha (in Greek her name is Dorcas); she was
always doing good and helping the poor. 37 About that time she became sick and
died, and her body was washed and placed in an upstairs room. 38 Lydda was
near Joppa; so when the disciples heard that Peter was in Lydda,
they sent two men to him and urged him, “Please come at once!” 39 Peter went with them, and when he
arrived he was taken upstairs to the room. All the widows stood around him,
crying and showing him the robes and other clothing that Dorcas had made
while she was still with them. 40
Peter sent them all out of the room; then he got down on his knees and
prayed. Turning toward the dead woman, he said, “Tabitha, get
up.” She opened her eyes, and seeing Peter she sat up. 41 He took her
by the hand and helped her to her feet. Then he called for the believers,
especially the widows, and presented her to them alive. 42 This became known
all over Joppa, and many people believed in the Lord. |

others say Elijah; and till others, Jeremiah or one of the

“Who do you say I
am?” 16 Simon Peter answered, “You
are the Messiah, the Son of the living God.” 17 Jesus replied, “Blessed are you, Simon son of
Jonah, for this was not revealed to you by flesh and blood, but by

I will build
my church, and the gates of Hades will not overcome it. 19 I will
give you the keys of the kingdom of heaven; whatever you bind on earth will
be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth will be loosed in
